You're comparing pro-Hamas thugs to 1960s civil rights protestors?
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@Justice4All The raghead terrorists did not violate international laws on October 7?
Justice4All · 36-40, M
@sunsporter1649 Yes, and Israel has a right to go after Hamas, even though they brought it on themselves by decades of blockading the Gaza. Hamas doesn't represent the millions of other Palestinian people. The children who have absolutely nothing to do with October 7th.

We're not socialist. Rights are really very iffy.
It's like we choose to be at war against ourselves.

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout Either you are being facetious, or you're advocating for fascism. There is a point where protesters should be arrested Destroying private property would be going too far. In some instances, the protesters were harassed by cops or pro-isrseli counter-protesters and they were arrested all because they stood up for themselves.

The school says: you're disruptive to classes.. yes, effective protesting is somewhat meant to be disruptive.

@Justice4All Destruction of any property, public or private, is going too far. Regarding the counter protesters, your premise is a spurious one, and suggests bias. If you are a proponent of the right to freedom of speech and peaceful assembly, then you have to advocate for both sides - and in my opinion, advocate vigorously against suppression of the rights of those you disagree with. The news coverage I’ve seen - and yes on both liberal and conservative media outlets - do not support your implication that the anti-Israel protesters have been entirely peaceful and non-destructive.

As for your championing of being disruptive, there needs to be a limit. Confining maintenance staff in the building you barricaded youself in, is neither harmless or benign. Compromising the personal safety of anyone is neither harmless or benign.
Similarly, using the adjective “effective” suggests that in your opinion, the ends justify the means” as long as you believe your beliefs are supreme.
