See…this is why we don’t execute people.

And it appears he served an extra ten years because he maintained his innocence. Wow.
I don't know how it works in the UK but if there's an avenue to sue them for a BIG amount of money, I hope he does and wins.

“Since I was arrested in 2003, the police, the prison system and probation service have been calling me a liar because I denied that I committed the crime.

“They claimed I was ‘in denial’ and made me serve an extra 10 more years in prison because I would not make a false confession.

“I am not a liar. I am not in denial but I will tell you who is – Greater Manchester Police are liars, and they are in denial.”[/i]
Yep, some on this forum want death to people for far less.

yeah Look at how many exonerations there are
God, can you imagine 20 years locked up on rape charges of which you're innocent? The other fellas wouldn't give a fuck. They just treat you like you're a piece of sһit.

@LordShadowfire I can’t imagine. 😕
Capital punishment should be allowed when it's a heinous cold blooded murder, the suspect is 100% confirmed by DNA and/or credible unimpeachable tangible eye witnesses, and that the suspect is unremorseful, specially when their victim is a young child, like that preacher that just got caught in a 48 year old cold case of a murdered eight year old girl.

@NativePortlander1970 And if the person is found not to be the murderer, 20 years after you executed him, how does he get justice?

Or is state murder okay?
