Do countries that implement the death penalty only do it to their own citizens?

Why did I ask this question?
We don't have the death penalty in our country and I want to know if I can get this sentence if I go to a country where this penalty is applied and commit a crime. Excuse my curiosity and sorry if I said something wrong, English is not my native language

Personaly i would avoid visiting countries with the death penalty because i know people can and have been arrested and convicted of a crime they never commited and executed unjustly..

You need to get away from there, from those people who make you feel so badly.
You should not hate yourself because of the words and actions of other people.
