Do countries that implement the death penalty only do it to their own citizens?

Why did I ask this question?
We don't have the death penalty in our country and I want to know if I can get this sentence if I go to a country where this penalty is applied and commit a crime. Excuse my curiosity and sorry if I said something wrong, English is not my native language

Which country are you planning to go to in order to commit a crime? That's what it sounds like. I go to developing countries that still have the death penalty (like USA :D ) a lot and I have no need to ask this question.
Yes, they execute foreigners.

@Abstraction tbh I don't think anything will happen to me.. I haven't been to any of those countries before, but I would like to go.. Ugh
