No, I never have. I have taken animals to a local wildlife shelter, many times, when my son and his animal crazy friend used to catch them or trap them, and I have stood in the middle of the road to protect a bird that was downed with an injured wing in front of an on-coming van, and I drove quite a distance to take a bird strike victim to the wild animal shelter.

I have adopted two pets who had been taken to kill shelters as strays, and tried to give them a good home.
