Why do some folks favor abortion and oppose capital punishment and others oppose abortion and favor capital punishment? ~

Don't both acts amount to playing God? I believe either pair of opinions is inconsistent.

Denying a woman the right to an abortion is playing G-d. Women die from complications of childbirth. It hasn't been that many years ago a tourist died in Ireland because something happened to the fetus. If she could have got home she could have got an abortion but the airlines refused to fly her because she was so far along. The fetus was dead and yet she couldn't get an abortion so they just let her die. How's that for "prolife"?

Think it couldn't happen here? Sixty years ago it wasn't that uncommon for drs to be reluctant to perform a D&C until they were absolutely sure the fetus was dead because they didn't want to be accused of performing abortions. If the woman bled to death while waiting oh well.

People with no background in health care should not be passing laws regulating what medical procedures a dr can and can't perform. There's already talk in several states of completely banning abortions and in at least one state they are wanting to ban certain types of birth control.

Women die from complications of childbirth
even with modern medicine women STIL are left is major health problems after giving birth I can't believe that a lot of people don't know this, women are more likely to die giving birth or while pregnant than abortions that's a fact.

It's funny that you mentioned the birth control thing, the same people against abortion are also against birth control. I used to work for a religious Catholic hospital and I remember getting a letter in the mail that contraceptives aren't covered. How is birth control not covered doesn't make any sense to me.
