I Speak English As a Second Language

Some terms are confusing me.

Wikipedia: "Animal husbandry is the management and care of farm animals by human beings"

So what is a husband?
And what is a wife?

Also I found this
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wife_selling_%28English_custom%29
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wife_selling

"For the selling of unmarried females to become wives, see bride-buying."

Makes perfectly sense. When women are not considered to be human beings, you can buy and sell them like cattle.
Wonderful past of the Anglo-Culture.
And you complain about Muslims? 馃槀 馃ぃ

Husbandry in this case doesn't refer to husband/wife but the idea that "husband" is
someone who takes care of something. So Animal Husbandry is the care of animals.

For the most part, Eastern cultures don't have quite the history of "bride-buying" as other cultures. Sure there are exceptions, but for the most part as time has gone on, this practice has fallen by the wayside.

I wouldn't bring Muslims into this if I were you ..

Thanks a lot for your explanation. but the term husband sound still weird to me.
It's not that I want to bring Muslims into this. Americans do. but I don't want to talk about politics and hypocrisy here.
