To learn English well it is best to mix with as many native speakers as possible if possible, but remember English, both written and spoken varies around the world and within countries. I once helped a Swedish family who wanted their children to learn with a standard British accent because they didn't like the American accept they picked up from the media. In the end one of the kids (informal for children - formal for baby goat) rebelled and now as an adult speaks with a good US educated accent.
@FreddieUK thank you!!
