I would use 'B' -- for example, "I was asked for directions to the train station."

@SaltnLime What started this craze for calling it a train station? We always used to call it a railway station. Why the change?

@KarenisKenziesmum Point well taken -- when I was stationed in Europe during my military days (a very long time ago), it was always called a railway station just as you indicate. However, on my way to school while growing up, we used to drop my dad off at the train station each morning for his commute into New York City.

@SaltnLime New York? Isn't that where Simon and Garfunkel are from? They sang "Homeward Bound", didn't they? They say "railway station" in that song.
