Which is correct? "They have to be the right choice for we" or "They have to be the right choice for us"?

I say "They have to be the right choice for us", but some people on here seem to prefer "They have to be the right choice for we" for some reason. Your thoughts?

It's "for us", because "for" is a preposition, and "us" is the object of the preposition. Therefore you use the objective pronoun "us" instead of the subject pronoun "we".
