The rain in Spain ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธ falls mainly on the plain!

This is what my teacher said helps me to keep my mind on how English ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ say these words to enunciation! In Spanish speaking places we have a pronounced โ€˜rโ€™ (we say air, for this letter, but English it changes sometimes in its depth of pronunciation). Confuses!

Other confusion can be heard from English to Spanish speakers.

With English it also greatly depends on the accent of the native English speaker. Someone who speaks Received Pronunciation (RP), sounds completely different to a Geordie, a Scouse, a Cockney, a Glaswegian, etc

For anyone learning English RP is the route to go but remember that accents change every 30 miles or so, we all pronounce things differently.

One of my radio presenters is from Chile speaks Spanish natively and is learning English in an Australian context.

It is interesting the challenges she has but she is going well.

She does one program in Spanish which I do in English and then she does the program in English with my tutoring.
