I Love the English Language

Has the present participle disappeared from use in America/Oz/NZ/Canada?

Are people ever 'sitting' anymore or are they always 'sat'?

Would you say:

I'm sat here. / I'm sitting here.

One cannot be sat forever; once they sat, they are now sitting! xD

People just don't care anymore, unfortunately. Grammar is a gorgeous thing. :)

@thepreposterouspanda I try not to let it upset me but I hate how it's become acceptable even in the news on TV and radio.

@SW-User Most definitely. I mean, I'll forgive it sometimes in music, because certain words just fit together, ya know? :)

However, for anyone with a college education, I think it's completely unacceptable. xD
