I hate that I have to use an accent to speak more clearly

A Mid-Atlantic or transatlantic accent. You know, from those old timey American movies and radio shows where everyone kinda has distinguished way of speaking. I’ve practiced with that accent for a radio career I ended up never pursuing, but still know how to use the accent. In my regular speech, I tend to mumble, not speak loud enough and straight up stutter. But whenever I use my radio accent, as I like to call it, all of that somehow disappears. I hate it.
