If you're a native English speaker, what is your favorite accent of other English speakers? Mine is Irish and Southern U.S., y'all. 馃檪

I envy girls with really subtle regional accents, not harsh ones like Liverpool or the Midlands. I'm not even sure I could tell you where the ones I like come from but I know them when I hear them! Channel hopping sometimes I listen to the weather from regional areas just for how they sound lol

@annamk Yep, I have to focus to understand people from Liverpool or Manchester. But, I have fond memories of visiting those places, so I have a positive response to their accents. I guess personal experiences largely determine our responses.

@LeeInTheNorthWoods you'd struggle to understand me then lol.

@VirginMatchmaker Please don't be offended if I ask you to repeat something. 馃槉

@VirginMatchmaker Do you say "nawt aht awl"? I'm sure you have an endearing way of speaking.

Like a lot of Americans my age, the only British accents I'd heard were rep-trained actors/actresses until the Beatles came along. I remember listening to a radio interview with them while sitting around with my adolescent girlfriends. The guys were a little hard for us to understand, but we LOVED hearing them talk.

I'm afraid I have an American Redneck accent. As our comedian Jeff Foxworthy says, people immediately deduct 20 points from my IQ when they hear me talk. 馃槈

@LeeInTheNorthWoods my accent is quite mixed because I've lived all over the north.
I'm from Manchester but live in Liverpool atm lol. I'm incredibly close to places like Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields lol.
