What's the difference between "ring you up" and "call you"?

"ring you up" sounds casual, maybe a little more playful than "call you".

@corta24 I would say so. It feels a little old-fashioned to me though as well. Like something you'd hear in an old sitcom or something. I wouldn't use it.
