Is Spain real?

I know a man from the U.S. who married a woman from Spain. Their daughter is bilingual. She grew up in the US but has spent so much time in Spain that she feels at home there as well.

So it is particularly hilarious that she of all people found this posted somewhere online:

@Elessar What's truly hilarious about that is that is that Spanish and Mexican are really two different dialects, so it's not technically inaccurate to say that someone is speaking Mexican. You could also say that somebody is speaking Argentinian or Puerto Rican. Just like it's not too awfully inaccurate to say that I speak American.

@LordShadowfire Yeah I mean, I've gotten a video from the south of my country and I couldn't understand a f*cking word lol, imagine countries one ocean apart even if initially they started with the same language
