@XenonRush Ever spent your life wanting to go "home", but not really knowing where "home" is - only that you don't belong where you are???
Well, that's how I felt for most of my life... until I started to read Dutch - even though I didn't understand the language, it calmed me and I could breathe for the first time.
Since I've been learning Dutch, I've generally felt calmer in myself and the same frustration and sense of "not belonging" hasn't returned.

@XenonRush I'm at the point where I can translate some short written messages by myself and songs are gradually revealing themselves to me as I learn more words.
However... I'm not yet confident with my spoken Dutch. I need to relax more and stop rushing my speech because I am nervous.
