What was the best way you learned a language

I use to speak quite a bit of Spanish. But I haven’t had anyone to talk fluently to. Now that I’m mostly in Spanish/English speaking cities I find it really needed. How did you learn your 2nd language.

Immersion is the best way to learn a language. You can simulate it with internet chats and face to face online but nothing beats being with people speaking the language you want to learn.
