We live in a world where genders are becoming irrelevant even for humans, and then we have the French language that defines genders for everything!

It's a beautiful language, but at the same time, it's unnecessarily annoying with all those stupid genders.

For example, if you want to say, "That shirt is white", first you have to see if the word "shirt" is male or female and then use the correct version of white for it. (blanc if it's male and blanche if it's female)

Just why? 😢

@Gangstress It's great you haven't forgotten your mother tongue. I also noticed people in the northern part of England have their own version of English. So you basically know 3 languages, maybe. Haha

@LookingForTheSummer even though my mum speaks perfectly good English i ask her to speak in gujrati with me just so i dont forget. My grandma who passed i didnt haveva choice so wes easier to flit between the two.

Are you learning french atm? Youll get there. I think once youve mastered the female/male terms youll find it way easier

Yes, I am learning French. It's been a month now. It's a beautiful language, but it's very challenging. 😅
