Will I need to know french to get by in Montreal for a week?

Like for example in a hotel or a restaurant would they know/speak English? 🥴🥔

You can get by in English but you won’t be treated well. Québécois want everybody in Canada to speak French but refuse to use English.

I’ve only been there a couple of dozen times so maybe I don’t know what I’m talking about.
