What is a big word in your language that is a small word in English language?

Almost everything is longer in Dutch than in English.

@NerdyPotato Same for Icelandic. Our words are horrible and a real mouthful.
@AthrillatheHunt there are indeed exceptions where Dutch is shorter, which I why I said almost. But even that example breaks down quickly when you finish the sentence.

@AthrillatheHunt lol, those aren't silent. That first group is actually an ij, which sounds completely different from an i. The second group is a simple e, and the third one isn't there at all. 😅
