I'm second from the left.. The guy on far right is the guy I joined the marine corps and went to boots camp with. We all went to the same Jr.high school But he and I became best friend in 7th grade. The guy 2nd from right we were I the same class from 5th grade on. The first guy from left we became friends at 12 . We both had paper boy routes side by side. We joined the marines . Remarkably we all landed up stationed at the same base almost at the same time for a year together when we weren't in nam. All project kids. All best friends as kids even our girl friends were best friends. We were tight before but really different close after that year in southeast Asia. We all had different jobs I was infantry,and had no idea the other had put in for nam. I still got scared but I never told them lol. It made it easier. I'm the only one left.
I miss them ready bad sometimes. Crazy I still cry sometimes. Some tough guy huh y'all
