Considering the attacks lately, why the resurgence of anti-Semitism?

The country is surrounding Israel always hated those whosoever call themselves Israelites. Every since the Israelites, then considered Hebrews, took the land from the Canaanites. They have fought for a few thousand years trying to hold on to that land all the surrounding Nations. They have been occupied, scattered to other lands, lost control, a few times throughout history but they always seem to regain that portion of land. That should say a lot about the prophecies of the Bible concerning Israel and that land.
