why would you post this?
SW-User
@samueltyler2 why not? 😆
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@SW-User why pick on a religious minority, it smacks of a bit of antisemitism, sorry if you disagree.
SW-User
@samueltyler2 They haven't picked on anyone...they're just asking people who their favorite Jew is lol.

If they were antisemitic they wouldn't have a favorite Jew 🤷🏻‍♀️
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@SW-User I disagree, it is a very slippery slope, and should not be on social media.
SW-User
@samueltyler2 That's totally unfair as he hasn't said anything antisemitic. It's a "slippery slope" if someone can't even ask an innocuous question like who your favorite Jew is.

It really isn't offensive in any way, and is an acceptable post to make because it does not feature anything hateful, insulting or controversial. You could look at it from an entirely different perspective and say it's actually a celebration of Jews lol...because people are talking about Jewish people they really like. What's so wrong with that?
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@SW-User I refuse to discuss this further with you. As far as I am concerned, I find it offensive. In today's world full of hate, I don't think there is any place for such a comment. Why pick on jews?
@samueltyler2 is this victim mentality on behalf of Jews? Or are you Jewish yourself and feel this is antisemitic?
SW-User
@samueltyler2 Today's world isn't full of hate...we've truly never had it so good.

It was hateful when Jewish people were subjected to countless diasporas, pograms, and then the Holocaust which is by far the most horrific event in modern history. This question/post is NOT that or anything even remotely close to it.

I'm not trying to antagonize you, but I just can't stand this victim mentality and calling something hateful when it very clearly isn't. It's such a toxic way of thinking.
SW-User
@sexyjigsaw @samueltyler2 I'm an antisemitic jew 🙄
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@sexyjigsaw I am Jewish, and very sensitive to such comments. This is part of a potential slippery slope. The number of hate crimes committed against minorities has increased dramatically over the past 10 years.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@SW-User do you think that is that a funny comment? are you proud of that?
SW-User
@samueltyler2 it's called a sense of humor and having a sense of humor about yourself is not a bad thing to have ...im jewish and i make fun of myself and everyone else ...this place is not for the thin skinned ...if you don't like my humor than you are free to block me
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@SW-User making fun of something new is not humorous. Have you posted a question, who is your favorite Lutheran, or Methodist? There is a song in the show Avenue Q that you might want to listen to, its called everyone is a little bit racist. I suggest you listen carefully, because every time you make an ethnic joke, you are sticking the fires.

Just look at the comments you got. Including one blaming me for being toxic, because I am acting as if I am a victim. Just look at the nearly daily reports of hate crimes. I was taught to never embarrass, never attack anyone because of their beliefs.
