Follow up thought... of why do guys do it?

Probably as a defense mechanism... of losing our other alone time man cave areas where we can be all to ourselves and still have connection to wifi, without spending additional money.

And that combined with the earlier A.D.D. comment in this thread, reminded me that one theory of why A.D.D. has greatly risen so much is because it's a self defense mechanism.

Which then brings the question, how can something seen as negative, be a self defense mechanism, as we're seeing it as doing harm, and not defending...


Well supposedly A.D.D. rise has some direct correlation with advertisement boom and electric screen boom, both of which take up a lot of brain power and brain space to get through...

So the brain, to stop from being over loaded from advertising booms and electronics screens, our brains have learned to protect themselves by learning to dump overloaded information, which often times are advertisements or un-needed stuff, and with that, comes the side effect of sometimes also forgetting more valuable pieces of information.

Again, that's just one science theory... and theory can be wrong... but it's interesting and there does seem to be a correlation there.
