I Have Legitimate Concerns About Islam And That's Not Bigotry

It takes a lot of courage to say what he said.

@sorry but this guy would flunk a high school history exam. He has no clue what he is talking about. It only makes sense if you have no concept of western history or Arab history. For one he seems completely oblivious to European colonialism on multiple levels and oblivious to the history of his own region. The Arabs did not come to learn? Explain to me then why you don't file your taxes in Roman numerals. That is one small example.

OWTFWN@ And please do not call me a "bigot",like the word "racist" and "islamophobia" it is designed to shut down a debate. I could call you a "rabid" apologist who has selective blindness to what happens in those so called "moderate" Islamic countries where a young girl will be stoned to death as an adulteress if she has been raped, and homosexual men are thrown off tall buildings,if those who do not agree with the mainstream ideas and dare to speak up are beheaded, where honor killing take place and acid is thrown into women's face because they refuse to marry their cousin.Where women are beaten by their husbands to an inch of their lives and people are given 100 lashes for again having committed "adultery",where hands and feet are amputated for stealing, where a young woman was killed by a mob of demented men as having burned a Koran, when in fact she had not!All that happen in moderate Muslim countries,PLEASE DO NOT CALL ME A BIGOT! I care for humanity!I think YOU are the bigot who choose to disregard all that barbarity and pontificate.
On top of what OWTFWN has already said I suppose we are supposed to just ignore the fact that some of the broad statements made by the person in the second video are also incorrect. Read Leviticus. Also he conveniently forgets to mention near identical Jewish religious courts are active all around the world too including here in Canada. And I guess we are supposed to take the word of someone who A)not Muslim and B) not a scholar. Also there are more then one book in Islam so that is factually incorrect and like the bible not written at the same time and there is also the living tradition if you will of his descendants. That is why there are multiple sects. Also most of the violent stuff comes not from the Quoran but the Book of the Sword which was written later. Also people like this like to completely ignore that religious books do not exist in a vacuum. They speak of a period in history and are a product of that time.
I am not splitting hairs. Would you trust your dentist to perform heart surgery? The title of Doctor does not mkae you all knowing. It also proves he is not an expert in the field he pretends to be. He seems happy to misrepresent himself or at least omit his credentials so people assume he is an authority on the subject.

Sorry but spouting opinion based on astonishing ignorance is not courage. To start with this man has managed to be completely ignorant of both western and eastern history and yet seems to think he is qualified to make an analysis of both.

OWTFWN@ And the Koran! Where the more peaceful verses were later followed by more violent ones, thanks to the warlord Mohamed, who decided he was going to conquer the world and God "inspired or told" him to do so! And the later verses are the ones that are being followed as a rule. All what we are talking about now,all that stating of "facts" does not stop the horrid practices of shariah law,and as a "bigot' I am only concerned about the terrible suffering of the innocents under Islam and not the theory!
@ Berangere. That is easy. He has zero credibility. As I said he has no clue what he is talking about. If it was based on any facts whatsoever and if he showed any knowledge of the subject I might hear him out. But when he does not even know the basics of history relevant to the subject. I do not take seriously someone who could not even pass a high school history exam to call themselves an expert. I could go into it in detail but do you have time for 200 years of history on at least two continents?
A couple of points. First off this guy thinks that European colonialism was exporting enlightenment and prosperity. There is a good laugh for you. Also he seems totally ignorant to the regions own history with European colonialism or it's role in creating the very sect of Islam you are railing against. Also many of those atrocities you speak of are tribal traditions that predate Islam by centuries and can be found in other cultures too.

OWTFWN@ God's words do not change, the way people choose to interpret them does. And what tells you that those words are from God? Just because some man with an agenda tells the world that he has had an "inspiration" from God ? Or that God dictated those words to him? The oldest trick in the book! The warlord Mohamed is a prime example!

OWTFWN@ You obviously do not know what has been happening in Europe since the massive Muslim immigration,or like ALL apologists you choose to not see it! Isn't Sweden now not called the rape capital of Europe?
berangere · 80-89, F
Picture@ This guy is saying that the Arab world is still stuck in the 7th century, because of its religious ideology,I think he has a point! And YES he is wise and honest!

Picture@ Please don't split hair, this is what apologists tend to do,he might be a physicist but he certainly knows what he is talking about and has done his research.

Might want to fact check your sources. Dr. Bill Warner does not have his PHD in theology, or any flavour of religious scholarship. He is a physicist.
Basically this guy has as much knowledge and credibility as some teenager cooking up theories in his parent's basement.
It only makes sense if you ignore or are ignorant of about 200 years of history on both sides of the hemisphere.

Sorry but taking him seriously makes about as much sense as listening to Stephen Colbert on economics.
