I Am Enjoying Being A Muslim

If a woman is free to show her body, then why isn't she free to cover it?

A nun can be covered from head to toe in order to devote herself to God, right? But, then when a Muslim woman does the same, why is she "oppressed"? Hijab is my right, my choice, my dignity, and my life.

My hijab ennobles me. It's a personal choice. It’s a personal choice to submit to Allah rather than the fashion of society. To be beautiful to Allah rather than people.

Compelling a woman to wear a headscarf is against Islam, and compelling her to remove it is against human rights.

Its OK if you live in a Muslim country , but wearing anything for religious reason is nuts. Your argument doesn't stand a closer scrutiny in case a new Hitler is born.

@Khenpal1: Thank you for your comment, but don't people wear certain types of cloths for work? Don't they wear certain types of cloths for important meetings? Would you wear a swimming suit for your wedding?

It amazes me how people give such importance to their fellow human beings, while give no weight to their Maker.

@Madeleine: One don't need to flash with being different , its not work if one is not a priest . Consider that other than Muslims will not share your views , so you impose you view on majority. Non Muslims have no freedom in Muslim countries, so non should be given to them , until they accept others rights. Most modern world is secular , religion is your private matter.

@Khenpal1: Being Muslim is not work, but identity. One shouldn't be Muslim "part time". Wearing hijab is part of my practice as Muslim, which makes me different. Yes, I am not a secular, why should I act like one? Would you accept to be told what to wear? Are you obligated to explain wearing a blue shirt today? It's my human right, which is what secular world pretend to stand for. What I see is nothing but double standards and hypocrisy.

My religion is my priority, because I believe in God, and the day of judgment. Worldly aspect are only secondary to me. Therefore, there's no point of having this discussion if you don't believe in afterlife in the first place.

@Madeleine: Look at definition human right , at the moment you making it up.
In most country's there is freedom of religion , but it does not mean you can do what you like. You problem with your believes belong to stone age and religious wars of the past.

@Khenpal1: There are a lot of great traditional values that are lost in our modern age; such as modesty, chastity, and self-restraint. People now are enslaved by their desires and material world. What a shame.
Khenpal1 · M
@Madeleine: Yes , but it has nothing to do with religions, looking back in history you will have no human rights at all due to religion in power. Religion works as corporation , so yes you are enslaved.

Islam in man is like Rabies in a Dog. Sir. Winston Churchill.

@Khenpal1: All good morals came from religion. Including, marriage, respecting parents, charity, good manners ..etc. Islam gives structure to someone's life, and a great purpose to live for.
