A question for Christians

Something I struggle with is this:
Christians often say they know their faith is true, but Muslims say exactly the same thing about Islam. They can't both be right in the same way.
How do you personally make sense of that?

In the end it came down to logic for me. I think if God created us then he would be personally invested in us and love us. He would not be a distant unreachable god but a god who wants a relationship. So my first thought was this;

1) If there's a god, and he created us, then he loves us and cares about us.

So then we have a problem with sin. What does God do about that? He could do nothing and expect us to work for our salvation. There's no reassurance then, the best outcome is that you would be stuck in a loop of hoping that you had prayed enough, delivered enough pamphlets, reincarnated enough times or done enough good deeds to be forgiven.
That doesn't seem very loving to me. I have kids. If they were in trouble, serious all affecting trouble, then because I love them, I would provide a solution to the best of my ability. I believe a loving God would do the same.

2) Which of the religions provide a solution to sin?

Only Christianity. Jesus came and took the price of our sins for us on the cross. We don't need to do anything other than love God and accept him. It's a free gift. There's no anxiety that you haven't done enough chanting or praying or visits to Mecca or whatever and that for me is what love is. It's really pretty simple, if I was stuck down a hole I don't want someone standing at the top of the hole to look down and go 'hmmm... maybe' if you stand on that bit there you can 'maybe' get onto that ledge there then 'maybe' you'll be able to reach the top and pull yourself out...

No. I want someone with a rope who's going to pull me out. I want a solution and it's logical to me that God would provide that solution that that because God is God that solution is sufficient, perfect and covers everyone if you choose to accept.

@PatientlyWaiting25 thanks for your long thoughtful reply but are you saying Muslims go to heaven too?
