I Have A Super Idea.

More pretty muslim girls should start going to the mosque more often. To 'motivate' young muslim boys to go to the Mosque for prayers as well. Said it 🙊🤩🤩

A friend of mine who spent a lot of time in Iraq suggested the country needs to build public swimming pools so that in the scorching heat of the summers there’s a place to cool off. Maybe have swimming pools at the mosques :)

@DownTheStreet All muslim boys will come 5 times to the mosques. Great idea 😂😂

@nobodyishome not to judge, but one thing about many of the independant churches here is that they have facilities and approaches to not just teach the “word” but to make the experience active, fun, and community. Basically, going is a good time. It’s fun, for those that choose it. I think it’s a good approach.

@DownTheStreet yea, I don't know, I think people who go to church go there because they feel included and accepted there. In mosques, it is not like that. The other day, I went to a mosque in ramadan with good intentions, and the girls only looked down upon me, because I prolly smelled of cigarettes. I did not go to that mosque again.

@nobodyishome I appreciate it’s tough. There are churches here that are very strict and demeaning, and others that are the opposite. Some you go and you’re made to feel awful and to repent, others you are seen as imperfect but striving and hopeful. Some are about compliance, the others about sharing love. All apparently stemming from the same book. I have never read the Quran so I have no idea how it could be interpreted though.

@DownTheStreet yea, that's not cool. Umm so many times, I've tried to go to the mosque and only been looked down by other women who thought they were more pious or so. I am guilty of it too. I did that once, more than once. Thinking I was more pious. Allah punishes me very badly when I do that. Now, I think I've stopped doing that. Judging 'bad' people. And someone very special to me once told me that nothing in the world is wrong. I try to make that my mindset and my heartset.

I think, with christians, most sunday meetings have an environment that resonates better with today's generation, and so more people want to be christian. That's what I've understood. What do you think :)

@nobodyishome I’m not sure. The way I see it is, most people want to be good, do good, feel it’s possible, and feel good about themselves. So they’ll gravitate to thinks that make them feel that way. It could be religion, it could be friends, or anything. There is a wide range of Christian approaches. I have never been to a mosque, let alone more than one, I’m guessing there is a range too. I have met great Muslim people, a have met terrible ones - and I can say the same for Christians and Jews. So I’m not it’s that. But I am always suspicious of the power dynamic of the leaders and the followers, that disturbs me. So as I suggest in any spiritual journey (life) it is to learn from many and live for a greater good. I think all religions have that as their essence, it just gets muddled by the intermediaries.

@DownTheStreet hmm, yea. Most just push you towards wanting to better yourself. I know that's been His only intention. And it comes from a good place. There's a Qur'an quote: 'Allah does not change the condition of a soul, until it changes what is inside of it.'

Also, there are numerous ayats/verses that talk about bettering ones soul, and suggest against committing to filthy things, which degrade your own soul. Buddha also said something about anger, for example. It hurts your own soul more.

So, I see a pattern. Focus on bettering your soul. And that should be a soul's religion.

@nobodyishome I think if we all focused on that, we would all be much happier, and the planet would be healthier. Yes we have are failings, our faults, but that is to be human.

@DownTheStreet Live and Let Live. Life is to chill :)

@DownTheStreet and show gratitude. Trust me, being able to show gratitude is the best, best feeling ever.
