@jshm2 Kiddo? Well aren't you just the cutest lil' thing. Here's how it works for me tiger. Pray to a fucking rock for all I care. Some people need assistance. I don't care. Just be a decent person. And from where I'm standing that's in very short supply when it comes to the religious. But you feel free to get your hate and enemy on buddy. I guess that quote, that I didn't write, hit a nerve. I'm pretty sure I know why.
I think you're getting too caught up in the nuanced stuff.
You have a personal relationship with your spirituality and I don't see why Jaan would be an issue? Ever heard how sufi's describe their relationship with God?

Yes, in Islam, Allah is often referred to as "Jaan," which means "life" or "soul." This is because Allah is seen as the source of all life and the ultimate source of sustenance and protection. Muslim sister, believing Allah is your jaan, is a blessing and gift. Then you must know of His creation, what is meant to be yours and what isn’t. For there are plenty of His creation that is not meant for us, but the wisdom to know why, is what can feel like suffering. I know the feeling, but it became clear that it is very different when you can see the wisdom God has I any situation. That might always be revealed instantly, but holding onto those words close to your heart and the way you live, start to make positive changes in life which will give that question more identity. Elhammdullilah. May Allah grant is blessings.

This is not the site to ask these questions. Too many Islam haters

Antitheists will come flocking to discourage you at the mention of anything along these lines 😂

@Emosaur well, then I guess things are sealed. Islam will not be progressive/liberal, feminist, and the scriptures will not change either (Qur'an and Ahadith). Since you prefer such values (progressivism, feminism, and anything else neo-liberal), just do what you wish. Nobody is stopping you or minds.

Problem is, as far as I know, those are considered the truth in Islam, meaning you're either ignorant or deliberately lying. Which one is it?
And I guess it is best to leave it as such. You can pick whichever makes you smile more. You don't need any response from me to decide yo.

I hope one day maybe things can change

Allah is a fiction. Just like Jehovah or any name given to an imaginary being.

Well, I don't know. Can you?
