the answer lies in one thing what does God mean to you, if you are not religious you can never understand religion, however, if you are open to knowledge then my response would be this all religions at the core of their teaching share far more than devices them only they never seem to want to agree. this for me is not the teachings of any religion however Islam has teachings that other religions don't have firstly authenticity the scripture has never been changed and the linage of the content can be traced right back, secondary Islam has the Hadith this is the moral and ethical manual to how Muslim's are to conduct themselves and not do so goes against God and the Prophet Muhammad SWS who sacrificed everything for the religion. Islam has the forbidden Haram this is the Law of God and must never be committed a sin of the worst kind. However, through the teaching of Islam this world is seen as materialistic, and in it is a world of sins that lead to the evil we see today just look at our world. such teaching applies that we live for the world to come beyond our death that of paradise or hell these two destinations are not just Islamic they are most in religions sometimes presented in different contexts.

however, this mindset influences personal discipline to enjoin the good and forbid the wrong through these deeds on the day of judgment it's not our faces our wealth our reputations that matter but the good deeds we have done whilst alive. the question then to ask your self is this what is the point of our life is it to live and die for no reason no purpose then this world is meaningless. if you apply Islam then death is for a reason one that is internal this answers that question clearly and in terms of the way of Islamic guidance if you look at the research you will find that Muslims are faring more successfully in many aspects of society than other theologies don't occupations like doctors, surgeons, property, financial, and charity but more importantly family, manners, honor, loyalty and they by the guidance they should never look up to though with the wealth we envy but look down on thoughts less fortunate than them with mercy and love and compaction and gracefulness all these attributes lead to better society and also you as Muslim feel like a human being of worth.

the problem we have today is Islaam is compared to thoughts who claim to be a part of the religion just like other religions who represent them do not live in accordance with their teachings and take on what they want to apply for no other reason than personal engenders and political policy. all of which have no place in religion. all religions are debated regardless of their honesty and in Islam, no religion is persacuted and should never be the last arafat surmeon of the Prophet Of Allah SWT he said "THEIR NO ARAB BETTER THAN A NON ARAB, NO BLACK IS BETTER THAN A WHITE, NO WHITE IS BETTER THAN BLACK" only through the deeds in which are wayed on the day of judgment. if you look at the history of pain all religions were protected by the Muslims as long they respected their beliefs not only in heart of Islamic territory is Bagdad it was the center of education and scholarship that has led the world in mathematics, science, language, engineering, philosophy all of which never get the credit it deserves Islam is responsible for fare more than the west give credit for. Islam through it teachings lead the way and still does today as the fasted growing religion in the world this is because other theologies are coming under scrutiny and questions are being asked that they ever can not answer or are avoiding to answer this hurts people who place trust in it. however for me as long as you believe in God one God no partners no equal and you trust in God with truth from your heart how you get t that I your choice for me I found the truth in Islam do your own research don't always listen to others who know not the truth but seek engenders. what is wrong with believing in something that makes the world better and human beings feel they're valued and equal?

It is true that Islam did have a golden age of mathematics and sciences. A great number of astronomical bodies hold Arabic names. But the edict of a holy man of Islam that math was evil also led to the downfall, where Islamic nations went from world powers to unimportant backwaters. People of the faith caused that decline. And it is the natural resources of the area, not the faith, that has made many Islamic nations relevant in world politics again. Christianity itself can claim credit for transforming Europe into a realm of broad literacy.

I personally see no problem with there being no meaning in life. And honestly I find no meaning to be better than the meaning prescribed by faith, be it Islam or otherwise.

@ViciDraco Everyones allowed their view and to make a point the latest figures show that nearly half the population of the world are religiouse in one way or another meaning this has entered the hearts of those people who live in contentment just as you seem to do without it .yes other religions have played a part in our world however they get their credit they have their history recorded in the educational curriculum. Islam has been portrayed as evil when in fact every religion and every culture has been accused of it. it if promotes peace and helps to bring people together then I don't see why is has to be anything other than that.
