Tips for muslism to overcome hardships.

It's very guilt oriented. When misfortune strikes we need to take heart and look for options to make things better. Life is challenging but not as a test of allegiance, often misfortune happens because of too much faith, another word being gullibility.

"No disaster strikes except by permission of Allah."

So how did he allow the Nakba ?
MuslimBarbieF
@BittersweetPotato well i couldn't really recall it by name, but after a while I got it
Doesn't have to do anything with al-nakba

@MuslimBarbie You do realise that he is referring to a political event and not just any catastrophe?

And tell me, what is fair about having someone not questioned and going straight to heaven just because they happened to be in a certain place and die due to a catastrophe? Are you going to tell me again to not question as it is "beyond" my knowledge? Because this is not a way of discussion.
@BittersweetPotato It's simple enough, either you are saved on Earth, or you die but it's actually even better since you are a VIP in Heaven. Voil脿.

Maybe Quran should decide, which one is it? Do they come from god as a test (64:11) or do we cause it upon ourselves due to our actions (42:30)?
@MuslimBarbie Why do you say it is not the right verse?

@BittersweetPotato Sounds like if you misbehave, then you're given a test to redeem yourself. So you obviously deserve it. Yet God is forgiving, but to some extent only. 馃 I need aspirin. 馃ゴ

@MuslimBarbie
When the Quran mentions both, it means both.
Yes we come from God as a test.
And what is exactly the logic behind having verses that contradict each other? Just to confuse people? Or to provide arguments that suit all sorts of tastes? Like for example, you would find arguments in the Quran for fanatics, and also for moderate Muslims. Simply because the Quran mentions all types of arguments that go against each other.

Does this also apply to everything else contradictory in the Quran, whereby there is usually one advice and exactly its opposite? Like do not kill people, but also kill them. Respect women, but also hit them. etc etc.?

I did mention the right reference for the verse, it is from Surah At-Taghabun which is (64;11)

@MuslimBarbie If you believe in paranormal stuff, then you don't live in reality.

@MuslimBarbie Are there any magical claims made? My adage is "If it鈥檚 not science, it鈥檚 superstition. Reality means strong evidence, not strong belief.
hippyjoe195561-69, M
@BlueSkyKing So your 'belief' in science is superstition?
