Let your husband make his own mistakes and learn from them, because when he makes a mistake, he won't be able to get angry at anybody else but himself. But when you make a mistake and you tell your husband to make that mistake, you'll never going to hear the end of it and you know what I'm talking about.
Let your husband learn from his mistakes and don't become his mother. Believe me, no man wants to marry a motherly figure. He doesn't want his wife to start lecturing and daunting him. Only his mother is allowed to daunt him.
That fact that you didn't put it in his mind, you're just quiet and let him make his decision, no big deal. Next time it's not going to happen. If you think your husband is self-deluded, let him be self-deluded, he will love you back in return.
