I think they say you "revert" to Islam not "convert"

They claim we're all born Muslim and we have to convert to other faiths so when we Baptise our babies we're baptising them out of Islam.

Very clever angle - you've always been a Muslim. Muhammad was a genius of sorts. Taught himself to read and write and from poverty became wealthy with many followers, extra wives and threw in some old "don't eat pork, cover yourself" stuff to make it all more easy to swallow for people.

@KaiserSolze Muhammad was a rather mediocre merchant, until (at the age of 25) he married his first wife, Khadijah bint Khuwaylid. She was fifteen years his senior, the widow of a very successful merchant and, very wealthy. Many academics posit that Muhammad's financial success was a direct result of this marriage.

Also, he remained illiterate throughout his life and dictated the Qur'an to a variety of scribes. Some academics disagree and say that he did learn to read and write but, the consensus is that he didn't.

@room101 he claimed that because he was illiterate that his words came from God. He could read and write.

Him marrying older for money proves his character even more imo.

If this was a person of this time no one would believe or follow him but because he was from a more naive era and people of that time believed him and now he's

@KaiserSolze Proves his character in what way?

Your closing sentence seems to come to an abrupt end. I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you are saying. Can you please explain.
@KaiserSolze Oh yes revert,as everyone is born a Muslim.
