@Brenda My post wasn't "pushing" Islam rather directed at fellow muslims to comment and share their experinece. The problem however is, I'm new and I completely misunderstood the community that exists here.

@Brenda She wasn't pushing Islam at all. She was talking about the way she was treated by the Islamic community and her own experience.

@arien You didn't misunderstand anything and you didn't do anything wrong. Some people just want to suppress speech that doesn't reflect their values.

@arien I find this very ironic because the post initially addresses a phenomenon within the community but these folks just gracefully proved the behaviors extend to outside the community..You do something we don't like, you will be shunned and isolated. It's like the deterioration of the concept of redemption is a global phenomenon. You're different, you are threatening my sense of self.

@Miram - and let's not forget the effort that goes into actually "writing" a story for a forum amidst lazy one liners & troll postings. People just shoot you down not because you are different (that too, out of envy mostly) but because they can and they do. I wonder how they raise their children.
