Clearly I'm in the wrong forum, inspite of the category. The story shall be removed and posted on a more suitable forum where people who know what it is about can comment and share their own experiences.

@arien I find this very ironic because the post initially addresses a phenomenon within the community but these folks just gracefully proved the behaviors extend to outside the community..You do something we don't like, you will be shunned and isolated. It's like the deterioration of the concept of redemption is a global phenomenon. You're different, you are threatening my sense of self.

@Miram - and let's not forget the effort that goes into actually "writing" a story for a forum amidst lazy one liners & troll postings. People just shoot you down not because you are different (that too, out of envy mostly) but because they can and they do. I wonder how they raise their children.

You're not in the wrong forum. There are Muslims here who can support you and need the group to express their thoughts.
I read the entire post. It's good to preach more tolerance among scholars of Islam towards those who sin or choose differently. I know how rude the islamic community can get towards those who question faith or express themselves in a different way than commanded by the religion. I know this as an ex muslim.
