Supposedly 1 in 4 Aussies use a VPN - but are VPN's themselves at risk of 'corrupt conduct'?

They are painted as the 'great' www security solution, but are they?

Not as good as many think.

For instance this site has figured a way to ban VPN users.

VPN is only as good as the receiving site. Once on any site you don't know where the data goes. Believe me it's not through another VPN provider.

Database are most often on different servers than the websites. This is why the SSL format is so important. The s in https is SSL, Secured Socket Layer.

Yet even then you have no idea if yet site is transmitting received data to their own databases through SSL. It's supposed to be standard, but it's not enforced.
That's crazy. I own an Aussie and he can't even use a computer. He likes Frisbees and balls and he can do tricks...but I'm pretty sure he can't even type.
They only mask your IP address and attached location to websites you visit, but they don't prevent tracking or profiling. Content is already hidden from outsiders with any standard connection and when it comes to meta data required for the routing, it just shares that with the VPN provider instead of your internet provider. It makes you wonder who gives those companies so much advertising money to route all traffic through a few points, especially when claiming it's safe to do illegal stuff that way.
