Building a giant snowman on my parent's farm has always been a tradition among my family and friends where I was born and raised.
What we're talking here, is a 3-tiered snowman (whom we refer to as a snow gigolo) who's top two balls of snow have to be lifted up onto the bottom tier using the front-end loader of a John Deere tractor, then held there in place using a pair of adjustable wooden collar arrangements my Dad made for this purpose years ago.
Our snow-guy is then decorated with the usual lumps of coal (which is now in short supply since nobody uses coal up here anymore) and of course the largest carrot we can find for his nose, which is in enormous supply since my parents run a market gardening enterprise and predominately grow carrots!
