I think I've finally desensitized to the complaints of others

Everybody is angry and outraged about everything all the time, even tv and videogames. I think if someone's biggest problem is the casting decisions of a movie director, Twitter, or JK Rowling then they're living an incredibly privilaged life.

I don't know where this puritanical attitude comes from, but I imagine it's a sort of learned narcissism due to social media being a part of life now. Everyone wants to cancel eachother, people engage in mob stalking and bully mentalities whilst patting themselves on the back publiclly saying "look how moral I am". It just reeks of a lack of self awareness and character to me.

It seems like humility is a lost concept to many today.

Good commentary.
It's like people see themselves as some kind of victim now. Almost like they enjoy feeling victimized, poor me. Anyone who has offended or hurt them is some kind of villian or monster. Humility is almost non existent. Why does it seem like this attitude that others must cater to me and my feelings always. Is it part of the whole woke thing?

But then also there's the martry attitude. I did this amazing thing, pat me on the back.

I think you are right on about some sort of learned narcissism through social media culture. I've read articles on this exact thing that confirm.

Social media culture has really flecked us up.
