It looks like a good bio to me. Why is it you're asking? Are you not getting all the dates you think you should be getting? It needs time to propagate.

On the other hand from what i've heard about Tinder is that it's more about finding one-night sex partners. I may be wrong or maybe that's how it used to be and is no longer.

@froggtongue I think learning and improvement allows you to get ahead in dating online and offline ☺

Hmm interesting. Do you know if people that said “nah” and swiped left before - do they get shown that person again? Or is it like a “one time” deal? Swipe left and I’m
Gone for good 🙃

That’s what’s making me consider retrying it… if I had a second chance at a first impression 😉
@GoldenOldie I don't know. I see your reasoning. And if you want to secure that someone will see you again then just go ahead and do it. But I don't know much of anything. So swipe at your own risk. 😛

@froggtongue depends though! I did a lot of swiping when I had premium… so I really want to delete and start again? Hmm 🤔

your bio seems perfect for attracting the right type of person for you so the possibility of you two getting along would be better. i think its good. you might need to be patient though. although the only thing that i didnt like about it was calling yourself neurodivergent. that covers a big range of hang ups or characteristics or whatever you want to call the attributes associated with the term. maybe try to make it a little more specific while still being vague lol. if i was looking and saw neurodivergent id def swipe left but one of my friends that i have it would probably pique her curiosity so its up to you. just my preference personally. butin general i wouldnt think of it as a positive term in the context of dating site.

@GoldenOldie i like that awkward and nerdy sounds endearing :)

@GoldenOldie good luck on tinder. my daughter met her long-term boyfriend on Bumble. that might be a place to go on too.
GoldenOldie · 31-35, M
@Penny I’m going to try Bumble too! I’m only on Tinder because it’s the “popular one” 😊 Bumble had a “Neurodivergent” filter too!

Your bio isn’t bad, I liked the Tolkien pun 😂

You give a general overview of things that you feel are important to share, and If someone is interested im sure you’d be willing to share further information

I have used Tinder in the past and I learned the hard way that it’s very rare to find someone that truly wants to find real love

Its catered to today’s hook up culture and if that’s something you wanna do then it’s up to you but from my personal experience it’s not the place to try and find a future spouse
Ashly · 26-30, F
@GoldenOldie I’m glad 😄
Good luck out there, not all women are bad, you just have to find the right one 🫂
GoldenOldie · 31-35, M
@Ashly I agree ☺ I love women for being themselves - I find them more relatable than guys actually 😊 appreciate them as friends and in dating! ❤
Ashly · 26-30, F
@GoldenOldie that’s wonderful

There’s good people out there, both guys and girls
And I think it’s ok to be friends with both of them

Friendships help make life a bit more enjoyable

It's not bad at all.

I don't personally have much faith in Tinder tbh. It's more a hookup site, and you have to pay to really message people and get to know them. I miss old school OKCupid.
You used to be able to learn someone's values, hobbies, etc. on the relevant profile section. Now it's "swipe right if you think I'm hot".

Pretty good. Not sure you need to disclose about ND.
GoldenOldie · 31-35, M
@Iwillwait hmm I’m unsure. What reason do you think i shouldn’t disclose being ND?
Iwillwait · M
@GoldenOldie Because that's really not anyone's business.
GoldenOldie · 31-35, M
@Iwillwait true! It just seems like it might become relevant if I match or started getting serious with someone and then have to say to them I’m autistic and have ADHD
TheRascallyOne · 31-35, M
So i just got out of prison 😁
emiliya · 22-25, F
I think you should get to the date stuff quickly
@GoldenOldie It's the last bullet point. Lead with it and say something about the other person

"Swipe right and let's see how coffee or a pub date goes.

I hope you like animals; I'm mad about my cat and dog.

If you like books, I'm a reader, too. Movies? Me too (fantasy & horror are my "sweet spot"; what's yours?). Food? I love pasta.

There's more, but we could talk about you and see how we get along in a low-stress way.

I look forward to discovering who you are!

@SomeMichGuy that’s gold!!! Can I steal it? ☺☺☺

Just say super nerd wants a date. Drinks beer or coffee. Likes movies and action figures
