I Tried Online Dating

Yeah I tried it. It doesn't work out very well. Everyone is using pictures from them in high school or college and then you show up and it's the late-model of the person you thought you might like.
I really hate dating with a passion. Good looking girls are gifted entirely too much by the dating dynamic and it honestly hurts my feelings. I am supposed to put up with everything every girl does that bothers me, yet I must be the image of perfection to attain their continued desire.

I think I'm going to just stop trying again. I did stop for 5 years and then I finally got so lonely I decided I had made the wrong decision. Now only a few dates back into the effort and I realize I was absolutely right.

Literally, why would I want to keep making life worse - to get someone that I can be nice to constantly? I'd endure the effort if I'd end up with a girl that wanted to make life better for her AND me, but that's like wishing for a unicorn.

There is no easy way to say this but this is the problem with monogamy.

Expecting one person to fulfill all needs or being the person that is someone else's everything is nearly impossible. Even if you can sustain a relationship that checks every box, the effort involved gets exhausting.

@PhaedraIsMyName Quite agree, hence me being non-monogamous
