It sounds like they are very shallow. A profile picture should be enough. I must admit that it is important to have some idea of what someone else looks like that you are talking to. Why are they like that? People your age are going through a very hard period of history. It's predystopian. Nobody can afford children but graphic hard core sex is everywhere. Abrahamic religions are failing as they cannot back up their faith with evidence. The rule of law is dependent on your financial status. And it seems to be easier to make money as a sex worker than via traditional methods.

I think it's partly an extension of the self-centeredness of the culture; people think EVERYTHING about them is simply amazing and fabulous, including an appendage used for both liquid/dissolved waste emissions and docking for sexual purposes.

@SomeMichGuy I agree with you accessment of self centeredness. There is a book out there entitled, "Who Will Comfort Toffle". It's about a lonely little guy in search of life's meaning. I turned it around to read, "Who will Toffle Comfort" and wrote my story ,"The Raindrop that Lost It's Cloud". Finding ones purpose in life is so much more than just doing what feels good.

@dpoet I've never heard of men meeting a woman in person and handing her a photo of his dick.

Internet has always been like this, there were no old days.

No one does that in person. The anonymity of the internet is what allows that.
