I heard in the 70s they didnt have many tv channels no video games but many arcade games

There was pinball back in the 70's, in fact pinball itself is as old as the 1930's.

Also, 1972 saw the release of Pong, one of the most popular video arcade games of all time.

Following the success of Pong throughout the 70's were many Pong consoles as well as video arcade game, Breakout.

Then, in 1977 came the Atari 2600, with games like Combat and Video Olympics.

In Japan, in 1978 the video arcade game, Space Invaders was released.

And getting into the 80's, there were video arcade games like Pac Man, Galaxian, Galaga, Donkey Kong, Pole Position, Ms. Pac Man, Centipede, and Mario Bros, to name a few.
You had to have cable in order to get a lot of channels. We couldn't afford it. 😞

Yes, there were arcade games and also home systems like Atari and Coleco. We had both.
