I Fell In Love With Someone I Met Online

Steve is the one who stole my heart; not on purpose may I add, shortly after I met him here on ep.

It was back in September 2011, although I remember it as if it were yesterday.
There was this question, 'What would you give to be ambidextrous?'
He answered ' Both arms.'
Now, this is an old fun question with the obvious answer but for some reason he attracted me instantly.
What I'm mainly searching for on ep is people to have fun with, to joke around with and what a surprise when I saw that he was a new member!
I did something I would never usually do, for although he had no story and no friends I added him as he did have a picture of himself as his avatar and a bit more info on his profile than the average perv.
I trusted him, even without ever having spoken to him and from there we fast started to get closer.
We messaged back and forth, I suggested yahoo, later skype and it was fun through and through.
He was the funny guy I thought he would be and highly intelligent too!
What a mixture, if only I'd have met him earlier in my life!
Now, you all might guess what happened next?
Yes, I fell in love with him.
Flirting on the internet before I met him was merely a case of reassuring each other, making each other feel good but this time I felt his flirting was earnest and likewise, I meant what I flirtingly told him.

Our friendship was a constant up and down.

I most recently met him in person on our vacation trip to Cornwall, along with Tom, a man I befriended, indirectly because of Steve.
Steve is living in Glastonbury and I searched for vids from there on YouTube.
I found marvelous ones that Tom made and showed them to Steve.
It turned out that they were former neighbours. A funny coincidentce, isn't it?

Then, all of a sudden he stopped the contact, stopped answering my e-mails and phone calls, ignored me as if I didn't exist.
I was worried and scared because he has a disease called fibromyalgia that makes him struggle every day. Not life threatening but the pain can get so strong that he is unable to manage his everyday life.
I asked Tom for help and another funny coincidence happened.
He met Steve in a café in Glastonbury the very same day I dared to ask him for the favour to get in contact with Steve.
Steve told him that he didn't want to be so close to me and therefore had stopped the contact.

A few months later Steve asked me to share a YouTube vid.
He wanted to start a protest action for the Iron Lady's funeral.
I tried to get in contact again but he acted a tad bit cold. I told him that I thought there was hope, why should he ask me to share a vid if he wanted to stay away from me???
His next answer was nicer and that gave me hope to rekindle our friendship.

Hubs and I planned a holiday in South England, Cornwall. I asked Tom if he wanted to meet us in Glastonbury because it was only a bit off our route and he said sure!
I didn't dare to ask Steve because I feared to scare him off again but after we booked the cottage, I asked him if he would like to join Tom, hubs and me in a café in Glastonbury and he answered that he would like to if he felt well enough.
What a joy! :-)

On the second day of our journey it finally happened that hubs and I met Tom and Steve in the same café I mentioned above.
It was a blissful time and I'm still beaming as I write this story! :-)

Update: Steve booked a flight to Germany, he will come two days before my 50th birthday! We will have a blissful time together. Life is good!

Update: My husband and I visited Steve and Tom again, two weeks ago. We've been in Glastonbury the 4th time now.
I still love Steve but I'm content with the way it is. Onesided, unrequited love but a friendship that hopefully lasts till one of us dies.
