Does no one actually read their emails? Feels like everyone is just skimmers

No they don't. Their attentions spans don't allow it.

I have found the use of bullet points and extreme brevity helps.

Once I actually put something in large bold font highlighted in yellow and my boss at the time still asked me.

I receive read receipt on work emails, they still come and ask me directly what I just answered in email. they don't read them.

Like work emails? I can handle two paragraphs.

The gmail? no I just use it to make other accounts

I get at least 100 emails a day at work. I know what's important and what's bullshit.

It's the short attention span & even shorter retention ability way of life nowadays.
