Apps and sites now starting to refuse login using email and password

As well as technology creep sites and apps at now starting to refuse email login with a password and trying to force passphrase or 2fa or login via Google or digital ID, etc.

@Northwest 2fa presumes everyone has a mobile phone smart or not.

You can use 2FA without a mobile phone by using backup codes, or a desktop authenticator app. Other options include using a landline for voice calls or text messages, or a universal messaging system like Google Voice or AT&T's web messaging service.

@Northwest Which then means that to access any online apps, services or sites you require to have your phone with you 24/7 and while most people view their phone as an umbilical 'extra appendage, penis, boob, etc.' many do not and I don't carry my phone with me 'just because'. The push towards digital ID *depends* on total dependence on having a mobile device,
