is pinterest still a good site

it was one of my favourite sites for storing vintage pictures and downloading them...ive not visited for quite a while but saw someone online criticize the site saying it's full of ads now, ads have ruined it...is this true? do you still find pinterest a good site?

My sister goes on fairly frequently and she's never complained about it. I should revisit it too..I loved the tropical pics and so many recipes
