These "I've been researching x thing for x number of years" internet experts

You googled something 10 years ago, then went about your non-academic life and then ten years later claim you've "been researching x for ten years".

If you actually knew what you were talking about, you'd state your official credentials and your work experience, not "research".

I think she blocked you Steve. But at least can read your response.

@FreddieUK Lol, she did, just before I managed to respond with this:

"@FoxyQueen "Just fyi, I've got 20 more years on you and a lot of time to have done research in depth, so I somewhat laugh at your indignation.".

Wow xD Okay, showing your "ignorance" there. Ad hominem on something that has nothing to do with intellectual understanding. There is a man next door to me as old as you. He has not spent a single day in formal education. He does not know more than me merely because he's older than me. In fact, if an individual has achieved more despite being younger than you, that is good evidence that they are smarter than you.

Do go ahead and show me your peer reviewed papers, ms "decades of research".

"When you research topics that interest you, you tend to be more ambitious in learning it than going to grab a degree". Actually, when people are passionate about a topic, they tend to earn qualifications in it so they can properly engage with the community that actually researches it.

"knickers in a twist" you are the one blocking me haha.

"but I have done some pretty deep dives with biology, sociology, LGBTQ+ and other sources, to make sure I have a fairly well rounded, unbaised viewpoint for my understanding". Again, show us these papers or work experience."

I actually have credentials and experience. I have pages upon pages of certifications, I've ran schools across the world. Then you get morons like that who go on the internet roleplaying an "expert" and then talk down to those who actually "research" in the real world. Of course, they make out that person to be a "troll" because a troll can be whatever you want it to be.

Just a few weeks ago I received an award from the College of West Lancashire for my paper on early years neuroscience. It took me just two days and I did it between my paper on mental health - which has just been certified by the College of South Devon, and my paper on education, which should soon be earning me an award from the Britannia School of Academics.

Unlike that moron, I'm happy to back up all of what I just claimed, I won't block you over the slightest sign of having to back up what I'm claiming.

@Therealsteve At least you gave a thorough and non-abusive response in full. At least some people get to read it. 😀

@SomeMichGuy "used a very biased source as her "oh, this person has more arguments I didn't think of".

Haha yeah. Half the time when people say they've thoroughly "researched" a topic, it means they've listened to people present different arguments for the same viewpoint they already agree with.

"D) She claims to be a (deep) thinker, but she believes in the Zodiak." xD

"said I knew nothing because I didn't know that... (In the post in question, the user referred to work of Einstein, and I asked which one...and got that." that's probably the only thing she knows about him, pop level knowledge haha.
@Therealsteve If they are the same, yes.

I think it's likely. They present similarly.

Oh, I have degrees in physics, EE, and studied history with an emphasis in religious thought (mostly Christian theologu), so it would be interesting...

@SomeMichGuy It would interesting to have had a live chat with her and you. As it would have been with me and her. Interesting because she doesn't have the first clue about the topics at hand and her actual "ignorance" would be out in the open. "If you can't win a debate, don't have the debate", so she blocks xD Okay, enjoy your day.
@Therealsteve lol

You, as well, and I'd love to hear what music / composers you like to play most.
Therealsteve · 31-35, M
@SomeMichGuy Haha I have to admit, whilst my university piano performance exams required me to play Chopin, Beethoven, Gershwin etc I like to play modern pop songs that everyone knows, with a bit of a classical twist. You may have guessed from all my pursuits, I am a relentless climber of pre-existing power structures, and being able to play modern pop songs immediately initiates me into high levels of social acceptance in whatever institution I seek to become a part of.
