Hi everyone my wifi isn't working

So says Xfinity. Yes I'm on the wifi not the phone network. Oh and my TV is showing a system refresh in progress to fix this. After pulling my hair out, see below. Also the Xfinity app won't launch because it says it doesn't have an internet connection from this very phone Lol.

Being old school and growing up watching and working on and with all this technology development I want to tell all those who were born into it that you may not see it but things are actually going from bad to worse.

So just to share results the refresh is done so the TV says. That's what started this. Black TV Screen. Checking the app. Yup it works.

When they tell you to refer to the non working app to report a problem guess who has a real problem. No it's not you.

I got this fixed logging on to their website with my non working wifi, according to them, and confusing the AI app into hysteria until it send me another page with system reset options.

COMCAST. Worst customer support methods of any company.

Can't help you there. My computer is not hooked up by WiFi. It uses Cat 5 cable

@HumanEarth Lol I don't need help. My setup is using both cat 5 and wifi. The TV is on cat 5 from the modem for streaming. The gist of the post is dumbass Xfinity/Comcast was telling me my wifi was down when it wasn't. The TV wasn't working. Apparently they are shoving all programming through the internet to their cable boxes these days.

I don't have them issues. The only thing in my house that has and uses the internet in my desktop and laptop and nothing has WiFi

My TV is a dumb TV that don't use internet

@HumanEarth Keep it that way as long as you can live with it. The wifi is part of my TV service. I mostly use the wifi for my phone and tablet. One can get dirt cheap smartphone service if you use little phone network data.

@HumanEarth I can't tell the tale here but I have actual experience with that. You don't need a smartphone for them to do that. Or a mobile phone for that matter. The evil in my past of my own making is now forever protected. It's all part of a painful path I would not change because I never would have crossed paths with my beloved lost Vickie. I was 57 and she was 50 when we found in each what so many younger here on SW talk about seeking. I've stopped telling them nothing good comes of something forced.
