Will the Internet Archive be saved?
Apparently they had some sort of data breach and DDoS attack where 31 million accounts were hit and user info was compromised, and now the site is shut down for some time. Unbelievable.

So basically, it's a hacker's attempt to disrupt the operation of a website, by causing an amount of traffic that is beyond what the site can handle.
A distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack is a malicious attempt to disrupt the normal traffic of a targeted server, service or network by overwhelming the target or its surrounding infrastructure with a flood of Internet traffic.
So basically, it's a hacker's attempt to disrupt the operation of a website, by causing an amount of traffic that is beyond what the site can handle.
